In-Home Art Classes

Our In-Home Art Classes brings the best of the art studio, directly to the comfort of your home. All of our In-Home Programming is coordinated around your schedule and availability and can include all of the necessary art materials. Simply choose the package that works for you, and we'll take care of the rest!

Private & Group In-Home Art Classes - 1 Hour

Our Art Lessons are one hour long (but can be extended to 1.5 or 2 hour sessions upon request). One of our instructors will come directly to your home, materials in hand to lead your children through customized projects and activities. We design all of our curricula specifically for each student, considering their age, skill level, interests and goals. We also provide Young Artists’ Journals, which are emailed to parents after every five or ten sessions. This document details each lesson, the projects completed, ideas for the next series and activities to try at home. Museum and gallery tours can also be substituted for a session in the following packages.

Private Lessons

Group Lessons

With our Group Art Lessons, we either arrange for one family to be the host of all the sessions or rotate around the students’ homes. The cost per child, per lesson for our group lessons varies on the number of children participating.

For Two Children

  • 1-hour semi-private instruction, including all art materials $60/child

  • Five 1-hour semi-private art lessons, including all art materials $275/child

  • Ten 1-hour semi-private art lessons, including all art materials $500/child

For Two Siblings

  • 1-hour semi-private art lesson, including all art materials $115/total

  • Five 1-hour semi-private art lessons, including all art materials $550/total

  • Ten 1-hour semi-private art lessons, including all art materials $1,100/total

For Three or More Children

  • 1-hour group instruction, including all art materials $55/child

  • Five 1-hour group art lessons, including all art materials $225/child

  • Ten 1-hour group art lessons, including all art materials $425/child

Group In-Home Art Classes or Virtual Art Lessons- 45 Minutes

Looking for a Group Art Class for your child and some friends, a homeschool group or playdate? Try our 45-Minute Classes! All class themes are age appropriate and allow for our students to explore many different mediums.
Choose your favorite class theme from the list below, let us know your preferred day & time and we'll take care of the rest. Our instructor will bring all of the materials, along with table coverings for the work surface. Families are welcome to take turns hosting each week, allowing everyone to experience art making in their own home.
** All prices below are listed per student, but please note that this package requires a minimum of 4 students per classand a minimum of 5 weeks. **

Ages: 3-5 Abstract Art

Splash, splatter, dance, and play while creating fun, funky abstract art! This class is perfect for those who love to let loose and play around with art materials while nurturing your creative spirit! In this class you will be viewing Abstract and Non-objective art from master and contemporary artists, then using their work as an inspiration for your own, one-of-a-kind masterpieces!

Ages: 3-5 Preschool Doodlers

Doodlers develop new skills and talents while designing unique creations using a variety of wonderful materials and tools. Each lesson focuses upon developing skills, learning techniques and expanding knowledge. The methods and styles of contemporary and master artists specializing in paint, sculpture, design and more are incorporated into each class.

Ages: 6-9 Art of the World

Take an art world tour while exploring a variety of media. Journey to Egypt and create an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus; on to India, where students will make decorative elephants and learn about how these animals work with men. Next stop will be Japan, to create wishing Buddhas and paint on rice paper; jump the ocean and head to China and create your own dragon puppet. Discover what role masks played in Aboriginal life, and apply their distinctive artistic style to your own creation. This is just a small sampling of the places we will head to. Projects will be both 2 and 3 dimensional. Media will encompass everything from paper mache to drawing.

Ages: 6-9 Kids and Clay

Make sculpture and pottery using oil-based clay, ceramic clay, and model magic. Play with additive and subtractive sculpture methods, and hand building techniques.

Ages: 6-9 Artistic Journeys

Students will learn about basic elements of art as they engage in lessons such as designing creatures to fit into imaginary worlds, creating their own picture alphabet, and observing nature to learn about concepts such as line, symmetry and texture. Inspiration will be gleaned from story book illustration, fine art, and nature as they explore a variety of media, tools, and techniques. Each lesson will include optional extension activities to enhance key ideas.

Ages: 6-9 2-D Drawing and Design

Explore the world of art using basic elements of art: line, shape, form, space, texture, value and color. Each course will start with a right brain exercise children learn how to view their surroundings with an artist’s eye using: pencil, charcoal, paint, cut paper.

Ages: 6-9 Exploring Sculpture I

Do you love to build, create, and get a little bit messy? Then you will love this class! You will learn about the art of sculpture while working on a variety of sculptural creations of you own using assemblage, additive and subtractive methods, and exploring a variety of 3-D materials.

Ages: 9-12 Elements of Drawing

Drawing is the element of excitement in art! Working with subjects from tree roots to still lifes, portraits, landscape, realistic or organic, you will draw with texture, light, shadow & line. Explore drawing through pencil, charcoal & various mixed media.

Ages: 9-12 Exploring Sculpture II

Do you love to build, create, and get a little bit messy? Then you will love this class! You will learn about the art of sculpture while working on a variety of sculptural creations of you own using assemblage, additive and subtractive methods, and exploring a variety of 3-D materials.

Ages: 9-12 Kids on Canvas

Kids on Canvas - Students learn about painting on canvas paper, canvas board and stretched canvas using acrylics. Students will be inspired as they learn the techniques, style and vocabulary of such artists as Renoir, Mondrian, Andy Goldsworthy, Jackson Pollock, Modigliani, Warhol, Gustav Klimt and Frank Stella.

Ages: 12-18 Abstract Art

Let your expressive and artistic talents run wild while creating funky abstract art! This class is perfect for those who love to let loose and play around with art materials while nurturing your creative spirit! In this class you will be viewing Abstract and Non-objective art from master and contemporary artists, and then using their work as an inspiration for your own unique creations!

Ages: 12-18: Creative Collage

Not just gluing, an in depth perspective on collage! Create new works of art through assembling found papers, objects, old photographs and more. Stitching, cutting and conceptual thinking will inspire you to work outside the box. Start gathering your old artwork, letters, photographs, bits and pieces.

Ages 12-18: Mixed Media

Experiment with various acrylic and mixed media painting techniques and learn to incorporate collage with painting. Creative energy enthusiasm is required. Experiment with traditional, recycled and found-in-nature art materials! You study various painting, drawing, collage and assemblage techniques in to 2-D and 3-D works of art. You look to both the outside world and your inner imagination for inspiration and use sketchbooks to develop personal expression of ideas

Ages 13-18: Trashin’ Fashion

Take old stuff; add new ideas--and presto--RECYCLING at its best! Create eco-design couture with newspapers, magazines, bottle caps, soda tabs and anything else you can recycle. With your help, in the United States we now recycle millions of pounds of paper, cans, bottles, rubber, cardboard, and more. With a little creativity, you can transform just about anything from what would otherwise be discarded trash, while carving your own place in the green movement.

Ages 13-18: Art of Journaling

As artists and creative thinkers, we all need a place to explore new techniques, try new materials, mimic the masters, and release our artistic energies. We need a place to manufacture, conceptualize and tweak what our minds imagine and souls feel without fear of criticism or mistakes. There is a place for just that in the world of Artistic Journaling. In this course, you will delve into the realm of artists who keep journals. Explore their individual styles while finding or honing your own. Dabble in new and unexpected media. Most of all have fun discovering new avenues for your creativity. Most supplies for this course are things that you probably already have hanging around your house. Students will begin the course by making a handmade journal. Lessons that follow are loose in structure and will be completed in the order in which the student desires.
